Trump renews criticism over Ukraine war and 2020 election

In a social media post made on Monday morning, Trump wrote: “The War between Russia and Ukraine is Biden’s war, not mine. I just got here, and for four years during my term, had no problem in preventing it from happening.” He also claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin had “respected your President” during his time in office.

Trump added that he is “working diligently to get the death and destruction to stop,” while repeating his longstanding, unsubstantiated claims that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged.” He argued that had the election not been “stolen,” the Russia-Ukraine war “would never have happened.”

Attack on Biden and Zelenskyy

Trump criticized President Biden and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy for what he described as their failure to avert the conflict. “President Zelenskyy and Crooked Joe Biden did an absolutely horrible job in allowing this travesty to begin,” he said, adding that “there were so many ways of preventing it from ever starting.”

He concluded the post with: “But that is the past. Now we have to get it to STOP, AND FAST. SO SAD!”

The post was made on his social platform, Truth Social, and has garnered more than 17,000 likes and over 3,500 reposts.
