Two charged in Millville homicide; main suspect remains at large

MILLVILLE, N.J. — The Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office and Millville Police Department are actively investigating the June 14, 2025, fatal shooting of Roshaud Rhett, 20, on the 300 block of Maurice Street.

Trasuf J. Bennett, 19, of Bridgeton, has been charged with murder, unlawful possession of a handgun, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Prosecutors allege Bennett pulled up in a vehicle and shot Rhett, who later died at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland.

Bennett remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities urge the public not to approach him but to report any information anonymously through CCPO.TIPS, or by contacting Det. Caminos at 856-506-7114 or Det. Torres at 609-675-5462.

James L. Henry, 19, of Maurice Street, was also charged in connection with the case. Further details on his role have not been disclosed.
