Queens, NY – A 25-year-old man was attacked and robbed Wednesday evening on a busy stretch of Jamaica Avenue, where two suspects approached him from behind, issued threats, and carried out a violent assault before fleeing into a nearby subway station. The incident unfolded around 7:00 p.m. in front of 104-31 Jamaica Avenue within the confines of the 102 Precinct.

According to information released by NYPD Crimestoppers, the victim was struck multiple times in the abdomen before the suspects took his jacket. The two individuals then fled westbound along Jamaica Avenue and entered the 104 Street subway station, evading immediate capture.

The suspects remain unidentified as of Friday, and no arrests have been announced.

The NYPD detailed the sequence of events in a public alert, stating, “On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at approximately 7:00 P.M., in front of 104-31 Jamaica Avenue, in the confines of the 102 Precinct, a 25-year-old male victim was approached from behind by two unidentified individuals.” The statement continued, “The individuals made verbal threats and proceeded to punch him multiple times in the abdomen before removing his jacket.”

Police said the suspects “fled the incident location on foot, traveling westbound on Jamaica Avenue and into the 104 Street subway station.”
