Wall Township police seek Subaru driver in Ocean Road hit-and-run that injured landscaper

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a Subaru who fled the scene after striking a landscaper earlier this month on Ocean Road.

The incident occurred around 10:58 a.m. on Monday, December 8, when a vehicle traveling westbound toward Baileys Corner Road and Samuel Drive struck a commercial lawn mower, ejecting its 34-year-old operator. The victim was hospitalized with a concussion and other injuries and has since been released.

Investigators have identified the suspect vehicle as a 2018–2023 Subaru Crosstrek in “Cool-Gray Khaki”, a distinctive light blue-gray color. Police said the car likely sustained moderate front-end damage in the crash.

Surveillance footage captured the incident, and detectives are urging residents and business owners in the area to review any security footage from around 11 a.m. that day for possible sightings of the vehicle.

Anyone with information or footage is asked to contact Detective Devin Corso at 732-449-4500 ext. 1202 or send video files to surveillance@wallpolice.org.

Authorities are also encouraging the public to share the video released by police to help locate the driver.
