CLARENCE, NY – A 43-year-old man who stabbed his elderly stepfather inside a home on Manor Wood Lane in 2020 has been sentenced to just three years of probation.
Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 43-year-old Jonathan C. McKibben of Clarence was sentenced this morning before Erie County Court Judge James Bargnesi to three years of probation.
“On July 30, 2020, at approximately 10:29 a.m., the defendant attacked his elderly step-father inside of a home on Manor Wood Lane in the Town of Clarence,” Flynn said. “The defendant stabbed the victim multiple times with a knife. The victim was taken to ECMC where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.”
Judge Bargnesi found McKibben guilty of one count of Assault in the Third Degree (Class “A” misdemeanor), convicting the defendant of the lesser included offense after a one-day bench trial that occurred on Monday, February 7, 2022. The defendant was acquitted of the felony assault and burglary charges.
