Howell Police to Increase Patrol and Security at Township Schools

by Phil Stilton

HOWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ – In the wake of the tragedy that unfolded Tuesday at a school in Texas, where 19 people, including children and teachers, were shot and killed, the Howell Township Police Department is increasing the visibility at the town’s public schools.

“There will be an increased police presence at all township schools during arrival and dismissal the next few days. Officers will be maintaining high visibility throughout the day,” the department said. “Also, if you see anything that doesn’t look right, call the police immediately! We’d rather find out it was nothing than have to pick up the pieces of a preventable incident. Finally, take a moment to hug your children and loved ones, and be thankful you can still do that, unlike those parents in Texas. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this difficult time.”
