Howard County Police Blotter: Here’s What Happened on Wednesday and Thursday

HOWARD COUNTY, MD – The Howard County Police Department has released information regarding several criminal incidents that occurred on Wednesday, July 6, and Thursday, July 7.

The daily crime bulletin is posted each weekday when county offices are open and includes the initial reporting of various crimes such as robberies, burglaries, assaults, vehicle thefts, and theft from vehicles. It is not inclusive of all police activity in a day.

Assault
Columbia, 21044:
 5700 block of Cedar Lane, July 6 8:07 p.m.
Police responded to a residence at the above location for a report of an adult male victim suffering from stab and cut wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Through investigation, police identified the suspect as a roommate and arrested him. 
ARRESTED: Bockarie Sesay Sawi, 29, of Columbia, charged with attempted second-degree murder and assault

Commercial burglary
Elkridge, 21075: 
US 1 Laundromat, 6300 block of Washington Boulevard, July 7 1:50 a.m.
Unknown suspect(s) entered the business by breaking the front glass door. It is unclear what, if anything, was stolen. 

Elkridge, 21075: McDonald’s, 6200 block of Washington Boulevard, July 7 2:25 a.m.
Unknown suspect(s) attempted to enter the business by breaking the drive thru window. No entry was made. 

Theft from vehicle/vehicle break-in
Elkridge, 21075:
 6800 block of Sanctuary Court, July 5-6 overnight, key fob
6300 block of South Hanover Road, July 5-6, catalytic converter
6700 block of Pirch Way, July 6, wallet

Columbia, 21044: 6000 block of Laurel Wreath Way, July 5-6, tag
