Avalon Police Warn of Car Thieves That Lurk in the Night

by Charlie Dwyer

AVALON, NJ – The Jersey Shore town of Avalon continues to be targeted by nighttime raids where thieves target high-end vehicles.

On Tuesday alone, the Avalon Police Department received reports of four stolen high-end vehicles.

“The police department encourages residents to make sure their houses and vehicles are secure. All valuable belongings should be out of plain sight or removed from your vehicles. If you observe any suspicious activity, call the police department,” the department said. “Do not approach these individuals as they are to be considered dangerous.”

Many of these thieves up and down the Jersey Shore have been criminals from North Jersey seeking an easy score at the Jersey Shore. Stolen vehicles are often used to commit other crimes.

Pictured below are the five suspects that were involved in these thefts. Anyone with any information, please contact our Detective Division at 609-967-5909.
