40 Year-Old Shot And Killed In Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Another shooting death was reported in D.C. yesterday. The Metro Police Department in Washington, D.C. is investigating this homicide that left a 40 year-old shot to death yesterday afternoon. This incident took place on the 2000 400 block of Burbank Street in Southeast, D.C.

According to detectives, “At approximately 4:13 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, the members located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and discovered the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The decedent remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.”

40 year-old William Whittington Jr, of Southeast, D.C. was identified as the victim.
