Three women sought by police for multiple shoplifting, pepper spraying incidents

COLUMBIA, MD – Police in Columbia are searching for three women who were caught shoplifting from two different businesses on Thursday. In both cases, the women pepper sprayed employees who confronted them.

The first attack took place at a business in Columbia Crossing at around 2:15.

“A store employee reported that when he confronted three female suspects who were stealing merchandise, one of the suspects pepper sprayed him before they fled. No serious injuries were reported,” police reported.

The second attack happened twenty-five minutes later at the Mall in Columbia.

“A store employee reported that the same three suspects from the above incident attempted to steal merchandise. When the employee confronted them, one of the suspects pepper sprayed him before they fled without stealing anything. No serious injuries were reported,” police said.

The suspects were described as three black females, approximately 6’0” with thin builds wearing all dark clothing.

No arrests have been made.
