Newark police seeking help to find man missing since last week

NEWARK, NJ – A Newark man who has been missing since last week is being sought by police, who are now asking the public to help locate him.

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said Cary Williams, 62, was reported missing on March 10.

“Williams, known to frequent Elizabeth, N.J., was last seen in Suite 353 at the Howard Johnson by Wyndham, located at 20 Frontage Road in Newark,” Frage said.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a black beanie, grey sweatpants, a white short-sleeve shirt, and white Nike sneakers. He is described as 5’6” and 160 pounds with brown eyes, a low-cut hairstyle, and a light complexion.

Director Fragé urges anyone with information on Williams’ whereabouts to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
