19-year-old attacked on Brooklyn subway train

NEW YORK, NY – On Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at around 5:50 pm, an assault occurred on a northbound ‘F’ train nearing the Bergen Street and Smith Street subway station.

The New York City Police Department reported a 19-year-old male was attacked by an unknown individual, who used a blunt object and physically struck the victim in the face. The suspect subsequently fled the scene by exiting the train at Bergen Street station.

The victim sustained a facial laceration and was transported to New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition. The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion.

The 84 Precinct and Transit District 30 request the public’s assistance in locating the individual in question.
