HARRISBURG, PA – Courtney S. Boden, 25, of Bedford County, received a sentence of 2¼ to 12 years from a Bedford County Court Judge after pleading guilty to abuse of a corpse, conspiracy, and tampering with evidence. Boden’s charges relate to her involvement in the aftermath of the murder of Tyler Matthai, committed by another individual, Derek Louk.

Investigators report that Boden attempted to clean blood stains from a vehicle, destroy other evidence, and assist in attempting to sell the murder weapon.

Boden was present during a conflict between Louk and Matthai, where she witnessed Louk fatally shoot Matthai.
