Edgewood Stabbing Investigated by Harford County Detectives

EDGEWOOD, MD – Late last Friday, Harford County detectives began an investigation into a stabbing incident that occurred in Edgewood. Around 9:00 p.m., patrol deputies from the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1600 block of Swallow Crest Drive, finding William Merrill McKinney, 39, with multiple stab wounds to his upper body. Life-saving efforts were initiated by deputies before McKinney was airlifted to a local trauma center. His condition is critical but stable.

Detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division have taken over the investigation, canvassing the area and seeking to establish a motive and identify any suspects.
