GLEN BURNIE, MD – On Wednesday, at approximately 9:00 p.m., police responded to an assault report in the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.
Investigation led to the arrest of Maylan Monroe Miller, a 55-year-old resident of Glen Burnie.
Officers found that a minor motor vehicle collision in the parking lot had led to a verbal altercation between Miller and the victim.
Miller then retrieved a straight stick, similar to a shovel handle, from the trunk of his car and struck the victim multiple times before leaving the scene. The victim suffered minor injuries and declined medical aid at the location.
Miller was located and arrested a short time later, and charges were filed accordingly.
