Firearms Seized During Buffalo Search Warrant Execution

BUFFALO, NY – A search warrant was executed on the 400 block of Connecticut Street on Saturday, June 3, 2023, resulting in the recovery of three loaded weapons and a large quantity of marijuana. The Buffalo Police Intelligence Unit, supported by BPD SWAT, ATF, and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, conducted the search warrant.

The seized weapons included a Palmetto PA-15 rifle loaded with 10 rounds, a Riley Defense RAK 47 Rifle loaded with 8 rounds, and a Kel-Tec KS7 shotgun loaded with 6 rounds. After an investigation, 30-year-old Omar Ali of Buffalo was arrested on Wednesday. He faces three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a class C felony, with further charges expected.

Mr. Ali, who is currently on probation based on a July 2022 conviction for Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, was also convicted on January 25, 2023, for Driving While Ability Impaired by the Consumption of Alcohol.
