LAKEWOOD, OH – A fatal shooting at a Lakewood residence claimed the life of a 33-year-old woman on Friday evening.
The incident took place around 5:50 p.m. at the 1400 block of Ridgewood Avenue. The victim, found with a gunshot wound to her chest in the backyard, was transported to Metro Health Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
The Lakewood Police took three people into custody for questioning. Witnesses claim that an argument with the residents ensued before the fatal shot was fired.
Two firearms were discovered at the scene. While the investigation continues, the individuals questioned were released without charges. The victim’s identity remains undisclosed until family notification.
