Suspect sought after swastikas painted on Queens Public Library wall

New York City, NY -The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual in connection with a hate crime incident that occurred in May in Queens.

A photo of the suspect was released by the NYPD today.

According to the report, on May 5, at approximately 4:15 p.m., an unknown individual drew multiple swastikas on the outer wall of the Queens Public Library located at 43-06 Greenpoint Avenue. After committing the act, the individual fled the scene on foot.

The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force has taken charge of the investigation.

The New York City Police Department urges anyone with information related to this incident or the identity of the individual depicted in the attached media to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
