Three Teens Injured in Times Square Shooting

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking public assistance to identify an individual implicated in a shooting that took place in the Midtown South district.

The incident happened on Monday, at about 11:47 pm, in front of 5 Times Square.

During an altercation involving two groups, an unidentified individual fired several shots, injuring three teenagers. A 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old male, both shot in the thigh, and a 17-year-old male, shot in the arm. The suspect was last spotted entering the Times Square subway station.

All injured parties were rushed to medical facilities. The two thigh-shot victims were taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue by EMS and are currently in stable condition. The third victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem, also in stable condition.

The NYPD has released a description of the individual: a light-skinned male with his hair tied in a bun, last seen in a white tank top and black shorts. Investigators ask that anyone with information about the shooting contact them immediately.
