NJ Woman Dies in Fall into Large Food Processor at Italian Meat Packer

WOODBRIDGE, NJ – Officials from the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and local police are investigating a deadly incident at the United Premium Foods processing plant in Woodbridge on Friday.

It was reported that a female worker lost her life after falling into a large operating machine at the facility.

The Woodbridge Township Police Department received a call about the industrial accident at the food processing plant around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, as reported by USA Today.

Ken Mayer, CEO of United Premium Foods, expressed deep sorrow at the loss of their long-serving employee, acknowledging her as a beloved company member.

He extended condolences to her daughter during this challenging time and emphasized the company’s full cooperation with the official investigation.

The woman’s name was not released.

United Premium Foods is known for packaging various food items, including Italian meat, cured, and smoked meats. The company is also involved in mass-producing pet food.
