Jersey Shore Weather Report: Passing Thunderstorms on Breezy Humid Day

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ – Today, expect showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 2 pm.

It will be partly sunny with a high temperature near 80 degrees. The day will be breezy, with a south wind blowing at 15 to 20 mph. The chance of precipitation is 70%, and new rainfall amounts are expected to be less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight, showers and thunderstorms are likely, primarily between 9 pm and 1 am. Some of these storms may be severe, damaging winds and heavy rain. Patchy fog is expected to develop after 1 am.

Otherwise, the sky will gradually become cloudier with a low temperature around 72 degrees. The night will remain breezy, with a south wind blowing at 15 to 20 mph. The chance of precipitation is 70%, and new rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch are possible.

On Tuesday, there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9 am.

The morning may also experience patchy fog until 10 am. The weather will then turn partly sunny, with a high temperature near 81 degrees. A west wind of 10 to 15 mph will blow during the day. The chance of precipitation is 20%.
