Police Seeking Suspect in Subway Hate Crime Attack

NEW YORK CITY, NY – On Sunday, July 30, at around 3:45 am, a 28-year-old male became a victim of an assault while on a northbound “7” train, near the Elmhurst Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue subway station.

 According to reports, during a verbal altercation, an unidentified male struck the victim with his head and made Anti-Ethnic comments. Following the incident, the male exited the train and fled on foot.

The victim, who sustained bruises and facial bleeding, was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he remains in stable condition.

The New York City Police Department’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating this incident.

The assailant is described as having a dark complexion, around 35 to 40 years old, medium build, and black hair. He was last spotted wearing a black hoodie sweater and gray sweat pants.
