It’s hard to pass a Chick-fil-A in New Jersey without noticing lines around the block on any given day, except Sunday, of course. Now, the chain is hoping the lines might get a little longer with a new spicy chicken sandwich being released next week.
Starting on Monday, August 28, Chick-fil-A will introduce a new twist on its famous Original Chicken Sandwich with the debut of the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich.
Thhe company says another seasonal offering will accompany this fresh take, the Caramel Crumble Milkshake, both of which will be available nationwide while supplies last.
This new sandwich represents the first time Chick-fil-A’s culinary team has experimented with the Original Chicken Sandwich, following the successful introduction of seasonal entrées like the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich and Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich.
The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich offers a blend of classic Chick-fil-A flavors with a sweet and subtly spicy flair. The sandwich consists of an original Chick-fil-A filet, custom-made creamy pimento cheese, mild pickled jalapeños, all served on a warm, toasted bun with a drizzle of honey.
Chick-fil-A Chef Stuart Tracy played a key role in developing the sandwich, carefully selecting three distinct ingredients that would complement and elevate the original Chick-fil-A filet:
- Pimento Cheese: Custom-made by Chick-fil-A, this combination of sharp cheddar cheese, green chilis, and red pimentos offers a savory, melty topping for the chicken.
- Jalapeños: Sourced especially for this entrée and never before used by Chick-fil-A, these mildly pickled jalapeños provide just enough heat to balance the sweet and salty flavors.
- Honey: The smooth drizzle of honey on the warm toasted bun adds a subtly sweet touch, pulling all the flavors together.
The aim of this new creation is to provide guests with a unique taste experience, offering a standout sandwich without losing the essence of the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich.
