D.C. Stabbing Suspect in Custody

WASHINGTON, DC – Police have arrested a 42-year-old man in relation to a knife assault that occurred in the 3100 block of Mount Pleasant Street, Northwest.

At about 3:03 p.m., the victim and suspect, identified as Shawn Dyson of no fixed address, were engaged in a verbal altercation.

As the victim began to walk away, Dyson stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene. Responding officers apprehended Dyson, and the victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Shawn Dyson has been charged with Assault with a Knife.
