At around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, the victim exited his parked vehicle and began walking. He was soon approached by four individuals riding a total of three two-wheeled vehicles. One individual, a rear passenger from one of the vehicles, dismounted and displayed a firearm before attempting to snatch the victim’s chain.

The chain-snatching attempt failed, but a struggle between the assailant and the victim led to a pendant falling off the victim’s chain. The assailant took the pendant and discharged the firearm twice, injuring the victim.

The individual then remounted the rear of one of the vehicles. All three vehicles were last seen heading eastbound on East 173 Street towards Park Avenue.
