Angry Shopper Shoots At Workers Because Store Was Closed

COLUMBUS, OH – The Columbus Division of Police is seeking assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a shooting incident at a gas station under remodeling in west Columbus.

On May 6, 2023, police officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Sullivant Ave. following a reported shooting. According to the workers on site, a man attempted to make a purchase at the gas station. Upon being informed that the store was temporarily closed for remodeling, the individual became agitated.

Workers then asked him to vacate the premises. Surveillance footage captured the man as he began to drive away from the location. Moments later, he fired multiple shots towards the gas station’s front door. One of the bullets narrowly missed a worker.
