Driver Arrested for Pedestrian Crash in North Bergen

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ – Steve Inoa, 40, of North Bergen, has been arrested in relation to a collision that resulted in serious injuries to a pedestrian.

The accident occurred on Friday, September 8, at the intersection of Bergenline Avenue and 92nd Street.

At the time of the incident, a Honda Pilot operated by Inoa struck a 65-year-old woman on the sidewalk. The victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center by Emergency Medical Services.

Inoa faces charges of Assault by Auto while Driving While Intoxicated and Causing Serious Bodily Injury.

He was taken into custody at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus and awaits his preliminary court appearance set for Thursday, October 26.
