Juvenile arrested for deadly stabbing of 13-Year-Old Boy on Hylan Boulevard

STATEN ISLAND, NY – Following a stabbing that shocked the community, a 14-year-old male has been taken into custody and charged with multiple offenses by the NYPD overnight.

The arrest took place Friday night, hours after officers received a distress call at approximately 2:23 PM.

The call led them to the intersection of Hylan Boulevard and Littlefield Avenue where they found a 13-year-old male, later identified as Syles Ular of 185 Park Hill Avenue, Staten Island, with several stab wounds.

The immediate response of the officers ensured the victim was quickly transported to Staten Island University South Campus. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 14-year-old male at around 11:15 PM on the same day. He now faces charges of murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.

Details surrounding the motivation of the attack remain scarce, and authorities are continuing their investigation. They urge any witnesses or those with information about the incident to step forward to aid in helping them in their investigation.
