Man Robbed of Cell Phone at Gunpoint on NYC J Train

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating an individual linked to a recent robbery incident on a northbound “J” train.

This incident occurred on Tuesday, October 10, at around 11:30 pm.

According to the report, a 31-year-old male was on the train when an unidentified male showed a firearm and forcefully took the victim’s cellphone. After the robbery, the subject left the subway at the 121st Street and Jamaica Avenue station and escaped.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, in his late 20s, standing at approximately 5’9”. He was spotted wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, a black hat, and light-colored shoes.

The New York City Police Department asked anyone with information about this case to come forward.
