Atlantic City Police Seize 120 Bags of Heroin During Traffic Stop

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – A drug recovery operation by the Atlantic City Police Department led to the seizure of over 1,200 bags of heroin following a vehicle stop.

The operation took place on Saturday, led by Officer Matthew Crosby and supported by Officer Gissell Garcia and K9 Officer Jesse Oliver-Logan.

K9 Gee, trained in narcotics detection, indicated the presence of drugs in a vehicle stopped on North South Carolina Avenue.

The driver, Kenneth Thompson, and his passenger, Kareem Ellerbee, were found in possession of heroin and other narcotics.

A subsequent search of a Caspian Avenue residence resulted in the recovery of additional heroin bags. Johnette Snowden, the lessee of the property, faces criminal charges. Thompson and Ellerbee are currently detained at the Atlantic County Justice Facility, facing multiple drug-related charges.
