Newburgh Man Convicted in Burglary and Criminal Mischief Case

ORANGE COUNTY, NY – District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced the conviction of Angel Lahoz, 35, of Newburgh, on Monday.

Lahoz was found guilty of Burglary in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree and faces up to 15 years in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for February 5, 2024.

The trial revealed that on January 2, Lahoz unlawfully entered a Newburgh residence, leading to a confrontation with a relative who was home at the time.

He was apprehended following the incident, which involved a broken window entry and a physical altercation.

The case was prosecuted by Executive Assistant District Attorney Michael Milza and Assistant District Attorney Aragon Vicenty.
