ROCHESTER, NY – Today, U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced the sentencing of Robert Forbes, Jr., also known as Ra Ra and Henny, to 228 months in prison. Forbes, 37, from Rochester, NY, was convicted of two counts of Hobbs Act Robbery and two counts of Attempted Hobbs Act Robbery.
The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert A. Marangola, who managed the case, reported that between February 18 and March 26, 2020, Forbes, along with accomplices, executed four home invasions in Rochester and Greece, NY. Forbes’s role included planning the invasions, recruiting participants, gathering information about potential targets, driving accomplices to and from the locations, and providing a firearm for use during the invasions. During some of these incidents, victims were restrained, assaulted with a pistol, and injured.
Forbes’s arrest occurred on April 1, 2020, following a 13-minute car chase in Rochester, on W. Ridge Road. His sentencing reflects the severity of his crimes and involvement in multiple violent home invasions.
