LITITZ BOROUGH, PA – The Lititz Borough Police Department (LBPD) is offering advice to prevent thefts by “porch pirates” during the holiday season, a time when home package deliveries surge.

To avoid thefts, LBPD suggests having packages delivered to a neighbor who is often home, using delivery services with lockbox options and opting for mail services requiring signatures.

Signing up for package tracking alerts and having deliveries made to workplaces are also good practices to avoid thefts.

The Lititz Borough Police Department recommends the public to instruct relatives on safe mailing practices.

These proactive steps aim to minimize opportunities for package thefts in the community.
