CUMBERLAND, MD – In the early hours of December 23, Cumberland Police Department officers responded to a motor vehicle crash in the 800 block of Columbia Ave. The accident, involving a vehicle flipped onto its passenger side and three other damaged parked vehicles, led to the arrest of a local resident.
Shenay Symone Bright, 32, of Cumberland, MD, was identified by the officers several houses away from the crash site. Bright confirmed her role as the driver of the overturned vehicle. Following a comprehensive investigation by the Cumberland Police Department, Bright was taken into custody and transported to the police headquarters.
She faces multiple charges, including driving under the influence of alcohol, issues related to vehicle registration and insurance, various moving violations, and a citation for CDS paraphernalia. Bright was later released from police custody.
