Authorities in D.C. Look for Family of Boy, 6-8 Years Old

WASHINGTON, DC – The Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is requesting the public’s help to identify a young boy found in Northeast Washington, D.C.

Early this morning, authorities encountered the child near Eastern Avenue and Bladensburg Road. The boy, currently referred to as John Doe, is a Black male, approximately 6 to 8 years old. He stands 4 feet 8 inches tall, weighs around 120 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. Notably, he was found wearing a green shirt and red pants.

The police are asking anyone with information about the boy’s identity or possible guardians to contact them directly at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, tips can be sent anonymously to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The community’s swift response could be crucial in reuniting this child with his family.
