BAKER COUNTY — The Baker County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of 36-year-old Clarissa Roberson on charges related to the exploitation of disabled adults. Roberson faces two counts each of grand theft, fraud, and exploitation of a disabled adult.
The investigation, which began on November 2, revealed that Roberson, who was responsible for assisting and caring for disabled adults, had fraudulently acquired a total of $5,000 from her victims. According to the victims, they did not authorize or give permission for Roberson to use their funds for personal purposes.
Evidence gathered during the investigation led to Roberson’s arrest on the aforementioned charges. She is currently detained with a bond set at $85,000.
