JACKSON, NJ – The Jackson Township Open Space Committee convened for their inaugural meeting of 2024, with Mayor Michael Reina expressing enthusiasm for the committee’s role in identifying land for preservation. The meeting, attended by Mayor Reina, Council President Jennifer Kuhn, and Councilman Mordy Burnstein, set the stage for the year’s agenda.

Mayor Reina emphasized the committee’s dedication to preserving open spaces within Jackson Township. He expressed confidence in the committee’s ability to recommend significant parcels for conservation, thereby preventing future development.

Councilwoman Jennifer Kuhn highlighted the success of the Rova Farms project, acquired through the township’s open space fund. She anticipates similar achievements with the committee’s guidance in 2024. The new park at Rova Farms, according to Kuhn, exemplifies the positive impact of strategic land preservation.
