Investigation Underway After Shots Fired in Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A shooting incident, thankfully resulting in no injuries, is currently under investigation by Eastern District detectives in Glen Burnie. The incident occurred on the evening of February 26, 2024, around 10:50 p.m., in the 400 block of Summer Wind Way.

A couple inside their apartment reported a projectile piercing through their front window blind and embedding into a kitchen wall. A nearby witness reported hearing several gunshots originating from a field close to Shetlands Lane and Century Towne Road. At the scene, officers discovered several spent shell casings.

Authorities have not reported any injuries from the incident. The police are urging anyone with information related to the shooting to contact them at 410-222-6145 or through the Tip Line at 410-222-4700. The investigation is ongoing as detectives work to gather more details and identify those involved.
