Hyattsville Man Killed in Saturday Shooting in Adelphi

ADELPHI, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is currently investigating a shooting incident that led to the death of a Hyattsville man on Saturday evening in Adelphi.

The victim has been identified as 43-year-old Charles Dent. In connection with this case, the authorities are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that results in an arrest and indictment.

The incident occurred on March 23, at around 6:45 pm, in the 1800 block of Metzerott Road. Upon arrival, police found Dent outside with a gunshot wound. He was declared dead at the scene. The motive behind the shooting is still under investigation, and detectives are actively seeking to identify any suspects involved.
