by Local News Report

ALTOONA, PA – Johnnie Harbold, 29, of Frenchville, Blair County, faces charges for allegedly biting a family member during a service at the Altoona Alliance Church on February 18. Logan Township Police reported that the 8-year-old victim sustained a visible bite mark with bruising on her face.

The girl described the pain to hospital staff as feeling like “something was eating my face off.” She also disclosed to authorities that Harbold had previously caused her mouth to bleed by putting soap in it, though it’s not specified if charges relate to these prior incidents.

Harbold admitted to the act, telling police he had “just lost control.” He is charged with misdemeanor simple assault, misdemeanor endangering the welfare of children, and summary harassment. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. on April 25 with Magisterial District Judge Matthew Dunio.
