BOSTON, MA – A significant guilty plea has been entered by a New Hampshire man involved in a large-scale drug trafficking network.
Andre Watson, 47, from Nashua, N.H., pled guilty to charges of conspiring to distribute significant quantities of methamphetamine. His plea was accepted in federal court in Boston, marking a critical development in a case that unveiled a nationwide drug trafficking ring. The investigation led to the seizure of over 160 pounds of methamphetamine, firearms, including an AK-47 and handguns, and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Additionally, an illegal marijuana cultivation operation was dismantled.
Watson’s involvement was identified in connection with Reshat Alkayisi, a major methamphetamine distributor in New England. Watson received approximately four pounds of methamphetamine from Alkayisi in May 2021. Subsequent investigations led to Watson’s arrest in July 2021, along with the seizure of multiple firearms from his vehicle and home.
Scheduled for sentencing on July 16, 2024, by U.S. District Court Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, Watson faces a minimum of 10 years to a maximum life sentence, underscoring the serious nature of his criminal activities. This case highlights the concerted efforts of law enforcement to dismantle complex drug trafficking operations and hold those involved accountable.
