Penn Hills Fugitive Captured After Vehicle Pursuit Ends in Collision

by Breaking Local News Report

PITTSBURGH, PA – Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus of the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Curtis Norvell Davis Jr., a 24-year-old Penn Hills man with multiple outstanding warrants. Davis, a fugitive since December following a probation violation related to a January 2023 drug charge conviction, was apprehended after a vehicle pursuit.

Detectives located Davis driving a black Toyota in Knoxville earlier today. Upon attempting a traffic stop, Davis fled, leading deputies on a chase along Route 51, up West Liberty Avenue, and ending along Castle Shannon Boulevard in Mt. Lebanon after crashing into an occupied pickup truck. Fortunately, the pickup truck’s driver was unharmed.

Following the collision, Davis was taken into custody and transported to AGH for medical evaluation. He will be transferred to the Allegheny County Jail post-medical clearance. In addition, detectives are obtaining a search warrant for the vehicle for suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia.
