PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department’s Northwest Detective Division is actively seeking to identify suspects and a vehicle involved in a strong-arm robbery. The incident occurred on April 2, at 7200 Ogontz Avenue at approximately 3:15 PM.
A Rite Aid manager, en route to deliver a cash deposit of $32,000, reported being robbed by two unknown individuals. She was traveling via an Uber ride from the Rite Aid store located at 7401 when their vehicle was hit from behind by another car. Following the collision, the Uber driver inspected the damage, during which two masked men emerged from the striking vehicle, forcibly took the money bag, and fled. City surveillance footage captured a silver or gray Honda CRV, believed to be a model from between 2007 and 2011, trailing the victim before executing the robbery.
The suspects are described as two black males dressed in all black, wearing ski masks. The vehicle was last seen heading towards Woolsteen and Beverly Avenue. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
