Multiple Suspects Sought in Rockville Shooting

ROCKVILLE, MD – The Montgomery County Department of Police, specifically the 2nd District Investigative Section, is actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the early hours of Friday, March 8, 2024. The incident took place on the 900 block of Persei Place, leading to significant police and investigative activity in the area.

Following the shooting, which was reported at approximately 12:30 a.m., responding officers discovered shell casings and noted damage to two local businesses as a result of gunfire. In their pursuit of justice, detectives have turned to surveillance footage obtained from the vicinity, which captured images of six suspects believed to be involved in this violent act.

Descriptions of the suspects have been detailed as follows: The first is a Black male, estimated to be in his twenties or thirties, seen armed and wearing a black ski mask along with dark clothing.

The second, a heavy-set Black male of a similar age range, was noted for his gray attire and white/gray shoes. Suspect three is described with short black hair and a beard, donning a tan jacket and light-colored jeans. The fourth individual, a Black male with short locs, was observed wearing a black beanie with white stripes and a distinctive black hooded sweatshirt. The fifth suspect wore a black beanie featuring a white spider web design, and the sixth, also a Black male in his twenties or thirties, was seen in a yellow hat and blue jacket.

In addition to identifying the suspects, detectives are eager to speak with persons of interest who appeared in the surveillance video and may hold valuable information regarding the shooting.

The Montgomery County Police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying and locating these individuals. Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward to aid in the investigation and help ensure the safety of the Rockville community.
