Reward Offered in Cold Blooded Murder of Maryland Trash Collector

HYATTSVILLE, MD – Prince George’s County Police Homicide Unit detectives are seeking public assistance following the murder of a trash removal company employee. Images and video of the suspects have been released in connection with the incident, which claimed the life of 30-year-old Idongesit Udosen of Lanham.

The fatal shooting occurred on April 4, 2024, around 3:40 pm in the 6800 block of Greenvale Parkway. Upon arrival, officers discovered Udosen on the roadway with gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspects, captured on video driving a gray Kia sedan, approached the area before ambushing Udosen as he arrived with the trash truck. After the shooting, they quickly fled the scene. The nature of the attack leads detectives to suspect that this was not a random act of violence.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Police are hoping that the release of the images and video will help in identifying and apprehending the suspects.
