TOMS RIVER, NJ—The Toms River Police Department has issued an update on the current traffic situation along Ridgeway Road (Route 571). The eastbound left lane has reopened and is passable following an earlier closure due to a utility pole obstructing the road near the Boy Scouts building.
However, eastbound traffic remains closed overall, with a diversion in place directing vehicles onto northbound Whitesville Road. While one lane westbound remains open, drivers should anticipate delays and are advised to seek alternative routes if possible. Traffic flow in the area is expected to be affected for several hours.
