Violent Robbery in Queens Leaves Man Hospitalized

QUEENS, NY — A 22-year-old male was assaulted and robbed by two unidentified men while walking home in Queens. The incident occurred on Saturday evening near 189th Street and Aberdeen Road. The assailants, armed with a bat, struck the victim in the face and head before stealing his cell phone and fleeing the scene.

The attack happened at approximately 7:06 PM, with the perpetrators escaping in a black Pontiac Grand Am, driving north on 109 Street towards Union Turnpike. Emergency Medical Services responded promptly, transporting the victim to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Police are searching for two light-complexioned males believed to be in their 20s. The first suspect was last seen wearing a red-hooded sweater, gray pants, and brown boots. The second suspect had a beard and was dressed in a black sweater, black pants, a black hat, and black sneakers. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
