Fatal Connecticut Crash: One Dead, Three Injured in Two-Car Collision

A  two-car collision in Windham County, Connecticut, resulted in the death of one individual and left three others injured. The incident occurred around 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, on Route 6 (Willimantic Road) in Chaplin.

A 2020 Nissan Murano, driven by a 77-year-old man from Tolland County, was traveling eastbound when it entered the westbound lane and collided with a 2008 Nissan Maxima driven by a 35-year-old man from Windham.

The crash led to the tragic death of 79-year-old Beverly Elwood, a resident of Storrs. The other occupants of the vehicles sustained minor injuries, as confirmed by the Connecticut State Police.
