NYPD Seeks Public’s Help to Identify Suspect in Midtown Assault

NEW YORK, NY—The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an assault that took place in Midtown. The incident was reported on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at around 2:15 AM near West 38th Street and 8th Avenue. An unidentified male initiated a verbal altercation with two men, aged 30 and 31, and a 29-year-old woman, subsequently attacking them physically.

The 30-year-old man sustained a fractured nose, facial abrasions, head injuries, and chipped teeth. The female victim lost consciousness due to the assault, while the 31-year-old man suffered a lip laceration and swelling around his eye, lip, and face. All victims sought medical care privately. The assailant was last seen fleeing on foot toward La Quinta Suites at 333 West 38th Street.
