Unprovoked Stabbing Incident in East Village Leaves Man Hospitalized

NEW YORK, NY—A 66-year-old man was stabbed in the back in an unprovoked attack on Tuesday morning, in front of 150 East 7th Street. The incident occurred at approximately 10:52 AM when an unidentified man approached the victim and attacked him with a knife. The victim sustained a back laceration and was promptly transported to NYC Health and Hospital/Bellevue, where he is currently in stable condition.

The assailant, described as a male with a medium complexion and build, fled the scene on foot immediately after the attack. He was last observed wearing blue jeans, a dark-colored jacket, a gray hat, and gray and white sneakers. Authorities are seeking any information regarding his whereabouts.
